Bacteria and mites can hide in every nook and cranny. You are given 3 steps to a room cleaned from top to bottom.

Step 1: The mattress

Hot and humid, the mattress is the main nest of mites that feast on small pieces of skin that are lost during the night. If the idea of living with these critters is not pleasing, we must be wary of their excrement allergies for 20% of us (rhinitis, asthma, ..). Yuck!

The parade : the mites hate the cold. They are disinfected by aerating upon waking, we do not remake the bed immediately to prevent them from warming up under our duvet and we vacuum the mattress as soon as we change the sheets. Little trick: essential oils are also very effective against mites.

Step 2: The pillow

He too is full of mites who appreciate its mellowness and warmth (as we do).

The parade : Put the pillow (or lint) in the freezer, it works? "It kills mites but it does not remove the feces that are causing allergies. Better to pass them to the washing machine , "advises Dr. Fabien Squinazi, biologist, former director of the laboratory of hygiene of the City of Paris.

Step 3: The glasses

If you think about cleaning the glasses, you never wash the frames. Wrong! About 15% of binocles carry at least one bacterium (staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli, ...) that do not necessarily make the wearer sick but that pass on the hands and can contaminate the most fragile (children, elderly, ...).

The parade : rinse with water regularly. Simple but effective.
