There isn’t only one race in Westminster this summer, the Virgin Sport British 10k takes place in just under a month’s time and it’s not too late to register for  their twist on a classic street party: www.virginsport.com/westminster-2017

Passers-by would be forgiven today for performing a double take, at what looked like two British political heavyweights taking a moment out of their busy schedules. However, these two aren’t worrying who is first past the post on Thursday – they’re preparing for this summer’s other big race in Westminster, the British 10k on  9th July.

The Virgin Sport British 10K takes place in just over one month in Westminster, so to celebrate, infamous lookalike photographer Alison Jackson captured some candid imagery of the current Prime Minister and Leader of the Oppositions dopplegangers working up a sweat across the capital.

The political elite dead ringers aren’t interested in the 8th June, but the 9th July when the Virgin Sport British 10K route will start on Piccadilly and take in some of London’s most iconic sights. The hugely popular annual race takes runners down the Embankment and past the likes of Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey. The Westminster based event is the first 10k ever to head up London’s famous Regents Street.

Virgin Sport will bringing their inimitable trademark style to the hugely popular British 10k this year, with entertainment at every kilometre of the route, giving the race a distinctly British soundtrack to your race. Route entertainment will include tribute bands such as Not The Rolling Stones and Vox Beatles, along with Royal AirForce Cadets and the British Military Brass Band.. Two fan hubs will also be placed along the course where supporters and spectators will be able to cheer on runners whileparticipating local vendors will provide you with much needed refreshment..

Registration for Virgin Sport British 10k is now live on VirginSport.com. Participants can register themselves, friends, teams and fans. In addition to the flat, fast 10k through London, expect more twists and turns to make you sprint and sweat.

Virgin Sport British 10k will be the second Virgin Sport event of 2017, following Hackney (30 April), before further events in Oxford (8th October) and San Francisco (13-15 October) and
